The PMI Finland Chapter is thrilled to announce the opening of nominations for the Project of the Year 2024 award. This esteemed accolade is designed to recognize and celebrate outstanding projects that have demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation, and alignment with strategic goals.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Conference Participation: While it is not mandatory, candidates are encouraged to be members of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and to participate in the PMI Finland Chapter Annual Conference 2024.
  • Project Information: The nominated project must be located in Finland and have been completed after October 1st, 2023, or be expected to complete by September 30th, 2024. Projects across all business sectors with notable budgets and impacts areeligible for consideration.

Requirements for Project of the Year 2024

 

  • Conference Participation and PMI Membership
    • Membership: Candidates are encouraged, but not required, to be members of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
    • Conference Attendance: Participation in the PMI Finland Chapter Annual Conference 2024 is recommended.
  • Project Information
    • Title: Provide a title for the nominated project.
    • Location: The project must be located in Finland.
    • Completion Date: The project must have been completed after October 1st, 2023, or be expected to complete by September 30th, 2024.
    • Budget: State the project budget in euros.
    • Supporting Links: Include any relevant articles, websites, or other resources related to the project.
    • Business Sector: Indicate the business sector of the project.
  • Project Success Story
    • Detailed Story: Describe the project's success, focusing on the client’s needs, the challenges faced, the solutions provided, and the results achieved.
    • Results and Benefits: Explain how the project met or exceeded its goals, providing evidence through statistics, testimonials, or other relevant data.
    • Strategic Alignment: Detail how the project contributed to the organization's mission or strategic goals.
    • Project Management Approach: Discuss the methods, tools, and techniques used to ensure successful project delivery, including risk management and change control.
    • PMI Values: Explain how the project embodied PMI values, such as simplifying processes, striving for excellence, fostering inclusivity, encouraging innovation,and promoting collaboration.
    • Free form: which allows you highlight other key factors of the project success.

Voting Process

The selection of the Project of the Year 2024 will follow a structured process that incorporates both expert evaluation and community participation, ensuring a comprehensive and fair selection.

  • Jury Selection: A panel of seasoned professionals will review all nominated projects, assessing them against the established criteria. The jury will identify 5 outstanding projects based on their impact, innovation, and alignment with strategic goals. 
  • Community Voting: Once the 5 projects have been shortlisted by the jury, a voting process will take place in advance of the PMI Finland Chapter Annual Conference 2024. All registered conference participants will be invited to vote for the project they believe should be recognized as the Project of the Year.
  • Announcement of Results: The results of the voting process will be kept confidential until the conference. The winner of the Project of the Year 2024 award will be revealed during the event, offering an exciting moment of recognition for the project team and all those involved.
