How Construction Productivity Can Be Improved

Ways of Working

Description

Construction industry is one of the big industry in the world and Construction projects are so complex that need to work very attentively. One of the biggest challenge in construction projects is less Productivity, many projects faces this issue which leads to cost overruns, delays, resource shortages.

In this session we will explore how effective planning with modern tools, proactive risk management, stakeholder’s collaboration, practices of lean construction, engagement of skilled manpower and strong leadership could significantly improve productivity across the project lifecycle and get better results.

Key Objectives/Deliverables

Understand the Key Drivers of Construction Productivity

  1. Identify the most common causes of low productivity, including poor planning, ineffective communication, rework, resource constraints, and workflow interruptions. Learn how early planning, realistic scheduling, and proactive risk management create the foundation for successful project execution.

Apply Modern Techniques to Improve work Productivity

  1. Explore how Lean Construction principles, Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital project management tools, automation, and data-driven decision-making can enhance productivity. Discover practical methods to optimize labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor coordination while minimizing waste and delays.

Build High-Performing Teams and a Culture of Continuous Improvement

  1. Learn leadership strategies that improve collaboration, accountability, workforce engagement, and communication across all project stakeholders.
