This presentation introduces Agile methodologies and explores how leadership styles evolve when moving from traditional Waterfall approaches to Agile ways of working. It begins with a comparison between Agile and Waterfall methodologies, then focuses on leadership styles and leader behaviors in each context. Particular attention is given to Agile leadership, highlighting how leaders act as facilitators, coaches, and enablers who support collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement within IT teams.

 

Key Objectives/Deliverables

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

●   Understand the key differences between Agile and Waterfall methodologies

●   Identify leadership styles associated with traditional and Agile project environments

●   Explain how leader behavior changes in Agile contexts

●   Recognize the role of servant leadership in Agile teams

●   Apply appropriate leadership behaviors to support Agile team performance

Tasnim Sakka is an IT Project Manager, Lecturer, Software Engineer, and Agile/PMP trainer with a strong technical background. She has extensive experience leading and teaching projects using Agile methodologies. She combines technical expertise with leadership, specializing in team collaboration and delivering value-driven outcomes.
